Get To Know Your Pornographers – Webmaster Joe
WJ: I’ve been building websites for almost 15 years, but I started working for an adult production company in 2005. The company was Rockstarz Films which is no longer around due to bad business deals. After that, I worked on Bad Ass Models talent agency, which is where I got the name Webmaster Joe. That company is no longer around…trust me, it wasn’t my fault.
DHD: How did you get into the industry?
WJ: It started from a Yahoo! Group forum, I don’t remember which one, but there was a guy looking for a web guy to build their website. So I replied and he told me that he’s starting an adult production company and asked if I would be comfortable working on adult stuff. I said sure and that’s how it started.
DHD: What do you like best about the industry?
WJ: Meeting new people and learning the business. Mostly meeting hot girls.
DHD: Whats the worst thing about being an adult webmaster?
WJ: The constant phone calls…Rick. Just kidding. I guess it’s playing the waiting game. Waiting for content, feedback, site changes, and issues from clients. I think that’s pretty much universal for all webmasters.
DHD: Tell us what you, like about working for Dirty Hard Drive?
WJ: The flexibility, I can either work from home or come to the lab and get my work done. Also, waving a rubber fist at the camera.
DHD: Whats Katie Kox like in person?
WJ: She’s nice. Just like most porn stars that I’ve met are very down to earth and as long you don’t be creepy, Rick, they’ll talk to you.
DHD: Do you think Teagan Presley’s Site will ever go live?
WJ: Hopefully soon!
DHD: Tell us a funny BTS story from your experiences in the adult indutry.
WJ: The adult company that I worked for back in 2005 was filming a scene with Barrett Blade and Violet Blue(now known as Noname Jane) for the movie F.I.L.T.H.(Father I like to Hump) Hunters. We was filming at a auto body shop late at night. Two cops show up and asked what was going on since there was about 15 people running around the shop at 12 AM. Luckily, the fuck scene was already shot so actors was dressed up and about to do their dialogue scene. One of the cops asked what was going on and the director told them that they’re shooting a “student” film. The cop ask what’s it about it. The director said it was a “love” story. Anyways, the producer gave the cops the paperwork and called the owner of the shop to confirm that we was allowed to shoot there. So before the cops left, they asked if they could have a copy of the film. I’m not sure if they ever got a copy.
DHD: Do you have to be a pervert to work in adult?
WJ: I think you have to be some what of a pervert to work in adult. Now I think I’m more desensitized when I’m talking to people in the adult industry. I remember having a conversation at a burger place with a porn star, is a good friend of mine, and we was talking about her double penetration scene and the process she had to go through to get ready for it as we ate our food.
DHD: Do your family know what you do?
WJ: I stopped talking to my father in 2002 cause he’s an asshole, but I’m sure he knows. I’m close with my mom and she knows pretty much everything I do. Just recently I found my mom’s porno stash when I was helping her move and I mentioned that I’ve met some of the porn stars in some of the films, so I probably get their autographs for her during the AVN.
DHD: Whats next for you at DHD?
WJ: Staring at hot naked women getting fucked.
